Compress PDF online
Adjustable quality in your browser: high quality repacks only (good for text). Lower quality rasterizes each page as JPEG—much smaller for scans and image-heavy PDFs, but text may look soft.

Pages are rasterized and JPEG-compressed—smaller files, but text and thin lines may look soft. Use ~92%+ for repack-only if you need sharp text.

FAQ
- Is my PDF uploaded?
- No—loading and saving happen in your browser.
- Why is it still large?
- At high quality we only repack and strip metadata—embedded images aren’t resampled, so size may barely change. Lower the quality slider to rasterize pages as JPEG; scans and photo-heavy PDFs shrink a lot, but body text can look softer. Pick what fits your document.
- Password-protected PDFs?
- Some encrypted files can’t be processed. Decrypt locally or export an editable copy first.
